'Water' exhibition by Tabea Wasserfall

22–25 October in the foyer outside the Brahmssaal

As part of this year’s Lions Europe Forum, dedicated to the theme of water, artist Tabea Wasserfall will present a selection of paintings exploring water. She studied Fine Art at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe from 2021 to 2026 and is currently completing her Meisterschüler studies with Sophie von Hellermann. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, including in Frankfurt and Basel, and in 2025 she received the August Macke Audience Award.

For the past three years, Wasserfall has been exploring the subject of water in her paintings. Her main source of inspiration is her travels to Iceland, where the rugged Atlantic Ocean shapes and transforms the landscape. In her paintings, fleeting moments of water are captured, frozen in time and condensed into oil paintings.

As part of the Water Forum, 10% of all proceeds from sales will be donated to the RhineCleanUp initiative. The paintings will be on display in the upper foyer of the Karlsruhe Congress Centre, with the artist herself present at the venue at various times throughout the event.

The exhibition is supported by Galerie theuer+scherr.
